Good but didn’t last
I bought three of these and they worked really well. Trouble is they haven’t lasted long. They have all cracked badly. Shame as otherwise a good product.
Thank you for your review and i am very sorry that you have had a problem with the product - I have emailed you for further information and look forward to hearing from you.
Quality control needs attention and very difficult to assemble.
I bought 10 through Marshalls seeds and expected to have them built within a day. Some of the plastic cover sheets were so tightly wound that is was impossible to build the cloche. I eventually weighed them down flat and poured nearly boiling water over them although this distorts the plastic which makes assembly difficult and appearance less than perfect. The screws are very difficult to insert when attaching the ends. I clamped them with some mole grips to hold them in place - which was a tricky. The small bolts are too small and if a couple of mm longer would make assembly much easier. I ended up stripping the thread off the end of a few. Luckily there were a some spares in some packs. The soil hooks are too small and useless. You will need to buy some better ones from somewhere. The handles are quite nice and were easy to fit. The track on the end where the cloche roof fits was faulty as it left no room for the plastic sheet. General assembly is a pain. The whole assembly is a bit lightweight and cheap feeling £5.00 factory gate price? They look quite nice at when new. We will see after that.
I'm sure these are well made and they do seem very sturdy but they are very difficult, if not impossible, to put together.
Second painful attempt and 3 cloches still not assembled. And the cardboard containers they arrived in sent to recycling yesterday. One more try and they will be returned somehow because assembly of this product just defeats two healthy adults.
I am so sorry that you have had this experience. I have sent you an email and if you can reply with your phone number then someone will call you to help resolve this.
Avoid at all costs
This is very poorly designed, and manufactured. My husband and I took ages trying to construct it last night and it's not completed. The plastic is very flimsy and comes very tightly rolled which makes it extremely difficult to manipulate. The screws are too short and I don't think we are ever going to get two of the corner ones in. It should be sent back. This should never have been made, it's a disgrace and a waste.
Thank you for alerting us to this problem. i have emailed you to request further information so that we can resolve the issue. I look forward to hearing from you
