Just what I needed for protection of taller crops
Thanks for your review
I ordered 4 of these giant micromesh tunnels on Amazon and they arrived 2 days later. There are 6 galvanised steel hoops which are threaded through channels sewn into the micromesh fabric. The micromesh fabric feels tough and with care, should last many seasons as it is UV stabilised. At the base of each hoop, there is 6 inches of extra length to enable the tunnel to be secured into the ground. The tunnel comes with its own bag which is closed by velcro strips, and will make it easy to store during the winter months. Contrary to the tunnel displayed in the photo which is white, my tunnels were a light green in colour. I used one tunnel to entirely cover 2 x 3 metre rows of recently sown carrots, and the tunnel will stay in place until harvest them, keeping the carrot root fly at bay. I intend to buy more as and when I need them. Great product and I highly recommend it.
Thanks for the really comprehensive review. I am afriad that Micromesh is a little tinker when it comes to photography - its very hard to capture the green colour but it is supposed ot be pale green to blend better with the foliage.
