Posted on 19 July 2021
What are Easy Micromesh Tunnels:
They are the ultimate insect barrier for fruit and vegetables protecting your growing crops from all types of pest, without the use of nasty chemical insecticides. Easy Micromesh Tunnels™ are manufactured from UV stabilised fine (0.6mm grid) polyethylene mesh and rust resistant galvanised steel hoops.
What crop are they for:
The Micromesh Tunnels can be used to protect any of your crops and all year round. The cover has an ultra-fine mesh size of 0.6mm x 0.6mm, which is small enough to keep out Cabbage Root Fly, Carrot Fly, White Fly and Onion Fly.
Where can I use them:
You can use these tunnels anywhere and they are ideal for veg beds and patches.
What's so special about it?
As with all Haxnicks Easy Tunnels™, the Micromesh ones are super quick and easy to use. They are manufactured as a one-piece design that opens like an accordion and folds away neatly for storage and are available in two sizes:
Standard size, Length 3m x Height 30cm x Width 45cm
Giant size, Length 3m x Height 45cm x Width 60cm
Our 3 metre tunnels are not 3 metres at all! The length between the 2 end hoops is 3 metres, but due to the drawstring ends and our generous nature, the standard size measures 3.6m and the giant almost 4m long. For gardeners that means more plants in the row. So, don’t be misled by our less generous competitors who’s 3 metre tunnels are up to 25% shorter.
The Micromesh tunnels have drawstring ends allowing gardeners to control the ventilation in the tunnel by closing the ends, this also allows the full extent of the tunnel to be used, giving greater value for money. Watering can be carried out directly through the mesh.
A customer favourite for many years, the Haxnick’s Easy Tunnels and Micromesh have been a continuous feature of the grow your own scene receiving excellent reviews and making regular appearances in the gardening press.
