Customer Reviews
We purchased one of your kitchen garden cloches from a retail outlet in Finland and were very impressed with both the novel design and sturdiness. However, there are a couple of points I would like to raise: (1) It takes 2 people to fit the polyester into the rims (no problem except for hermits). (2) When we came to fit the long screws, we discovered that the inner side of three holes did not quite match the outer (remedy: quick and careful drilling with a power drill). (3) The packing round the polyester was inadequate; there were long lines of scuff marks where the plastic had rolled round inside the otherwise well designed cardboard box (suggested: at your end, packing – possibly soft paper would do – round the entire length of the plastic). The latter beauty defect was especially noticeable as we have up-ended the cloche and fitted polythene sheet to the open side (normally the base) in order to accommodate a tropical creeper (yeah, it takes all sorts …!) which was living in a simple translucent polythene sheet tube in a window and was hardly visible. To avoid undue stress on the polyester, the base only needed a flat hardboard support cut to size tucked under it. All in all a good buy at the price (around 70 euros) and we liked the assembled product (and its happy-looking pant) so much that we are going to buy another cloche to fit against the open end of the first, dispensing with the polythene sheet, to form an oval greenhouse for the tropical plants we end up with after our frequent visits to SE Asia.
